Personal Thoughts: Amon is, by design, a mystery; he's always been pretty secretive from my understanding. We don't really know anything about him before he entered the business, and what we do know comes from off-hand statements in interviews and post-match promos. At some point before 2011, Amon flew himself to Mexico and recieved training from Solar. He made a number of connections within Mexico during that time, returning to Japan and starting up Fuchu Pro (later Tokyo Tama Luchas) where he brought in tons of luchadores like Solar, Negro Navarro, and El Canek. Amon's actual abilities in the ring are mixed. He's incredibly rough and botch-prone but can do some really cool work when he's in the zone. Even if he's not the most capable wrestler, I do tend to enjoy Amon whenever I see him.
