Personal Thoughts: Fujin is a really fascinating and somewhat sad character in the Japanese luchador world. Fujin comes from the often-forgotten California lucha scene of the 90s, filled with local luchadores and random travelling stars from Mexico. Fujin made his debut in the scene in 1995 and spent much of his time there, regularly working both with and against fellow Japanese luchador Tigre Oriental. In 1996, Fujin received his first big break, travelling back to Japan along with a number of California indie workers including Blitzkrieg to work the Luna Park tour ran by PWC. Following this, Fujin seemed to spend most of his time in Mexico, and even appeared on a big "Japan vs. Mexico" show run by CMLL in 1998. Fujin would eventually permanently return to Japan in 2001 through Mr. Cacao, who helped to get him a spot in Michinoku Pro. He'd continue to work as Fujin for a few months before unmasking and becoming Psychic, a lackey for the FEC heel stable. However, behind the scenes, Psychic would regularly be bullied by certain members of the roster, leading to his decision to quit Michinoku Pro and retire in 2002. It was a tragic end to an interesting career, but this story has turned into a happier one. In 2023, Mr. Cacao was able to convince Fujin to return to the ring. Fujin is now a semi-regular for Cacao's Fukumen MANIA promotion. As a wrestler, Fujin isn't at the higher level of Japanese luchadores, but he's a competent hand to works well as both a victimizing heel and a bumping stooge.
